When I take a step back and look at the world, I am troubled. There seems to be so much evil. It can sometimes be overwhelming. Evil that persecutes, enslaves, destroys, and poisons. It seems to run wild all around the world. It can be discouraging to say the least.
That is understandable. Most available studies claim the news is 70-90% negative. That eats at people and eventually many will just stop watching. I know a few people who felt they needed to just stop following the news. They unplugged and disengaged for their own sanity. I cannot blame them. It is a lot to take, especially with the constant 24-hour news cycle. It is too much for me sometimes and I am passionate about it. I can’t imagine the toll the constant negative stories pushed by the actors in anchor chairs takes on people who lack that same passion.
It is easy to look around in despair at what our world has become. Full of people just waiting to be told what to think so they can like and share it.
Useful idiots are more plentiful today than they have ever been before. This is because useful idiots are often lazy, the activism has come to their social media feeds. Through their phones and laptops they get the daily narrative and share, share, share! Or should I say regurgitate?
Social media allows them to turn themselves into political propaganda regurgitation accounts. Churning out the narrative of the day. Not because they contemplated and agree with it, but simply because it is the narrative of the day. They are spoon-fed lies to spread and they do so right away. To them it is important, not to be accurate, but rather to be first. They believe it makes them seem intelligent or compassionate. Virtue signaling useful idiots are popular on social media because they can present who they want to be, not who they are.
Still, it seems like so many people are at each other’s throats. Blaming each other instead of blaming our enemy. As a nation, as a people, we could be so much more powerful if we were only united. Our enemies know this so they push fear and hate as much as they can. In so many cases the media serves as the constant reminder that we are supposed to hate each other. They want us to be busy fighting each other as if we are enemies.
They want us divided and busy. To busy keeping our heads above water that we don’t have the time or energy to do anything about them. This is why so many of us complain, because we don’t have the time to do anything else. We spend our time engaged in the days’ work. Not following the latest news or reading the most recent 2,000 paged bill.
So when you finally get home from work, settled in, caught up with the family, and the world. You see that there was another “protest” today. Another event organized by well-funded organizations and attended by useful idiots. Another astro-turf movement for the cameras and nothing more. The left is out there again, trying to lend credence to the most recent trending narrative. No need for critical thinking, that is frowned upon.
The same way left wing rags will publish a narrative at 4 am. So that more mainstream broadcasts can pick up the story and say “Vice is reporting”. Then they regurgitate that narrative for the useful idiots to pick up and run with. Now tied to a more mainstream source. A more established media institution. This lends faux credibility to the story.
How are we the people supposed to keep up with every story? Stay up to date on every subject? Follow every sneaky move our tyrannical government makes?
We aren’t. The press is supposed to do that for us but they have been proven time and time again to be agents of the government. Some even receiving millions in taxpayer dollars to report what they were told to report.
We can look around at our country, at our government and see what is wrong with it. Sure, the lefties will ignore the obvious. Some will do so dishonestly, some because they have been brainwashed. All will ignore the 40% number which represents the amount of time in office Biden spent vacationing. Then they spread negative narratives every time President Trump plays a round of golf. Even after the most productive 6 weeks of a presidency in American History. They will ignore what is good for America.
The will remain seated. Watching while their party burns and their lies are exposed.
