First thing is first. If you’re living up to your responsibilities the best you can. It doesn’t matter if you’re struggling. It doesn’t matter if you’re broken, in fact most of us are to some extent. What matters is that we continue to put one foot in front of the other and keep moving forward through the storm. You keep moving forward. That is incredible. I salute you. It is a tough lonely road I know well. If you’re lucky, you will find a woman who loves you enough to cry for you.
Out before the sun rises, we work long days, we suffer cuts and bruises, we skip lunch. We have those lonely moments on the way home to the families we love so very much. In a hurry to get there, running to its safety from the humiliation or the mental exhaustion of the day. We look for the emotional safety of the front door closing on the world behind us.
It is those moments when we first get home that we discover our worth. We all secretly want that love to be poured out on us like medical attention to a patient in the emergency room. Or a soldier just rushed in from the battlefield. That sort of support is what fills us back up. Helps us forget the bs of the day and concentrate on those we love and who love us.
If only the dog greets you at the door, then the self-doubt begins. Do they not care, not love me? Or worse yet, do they not appreciate or respect me? It is easy to forget that most likely they all had a “day” of their own and are in recovery mode. But family is recovery mode. We as families can easily all slip into our own corners of the house and disappear into the shadows. It is easy to become more like individuals just living in the same home. Rather than a family with all the benefits and blessings that a family brings. I wrongly think I need time alone to best heal or unwind from my day. Yet every time the family is together it fills me back up it doesn’t matter if we are joking or jabbing. Community. When we are together, we are growing.
As men we have a lot to deal with, often times we deal with those things alone even though there may be people who care. We lean on self-care and only damage ourselves more. Men are stupid. I cannot deny it, but then why can’t women seem to figure us out? They may be too complicated for their own good. Every wire in a woman’s head touches each other. As men, we can’t begin to grasp that. We have one, maybe two wires. I think Einstein had 3.
That gives me an idea, I should write a piece on women so I can tell them how to be better women. I could just say I identified as a women at the time I wrote the piece, right? Then I would have just as much credibility, (even if just temporarily), as a woman who was a woman all their life. I joke of course, I am still trying to figure out how to be the best man I can be. I couldn’t possibly handle a whole other “gender”. One is quite enough.
Anyway, I got way off topic here. The point was to remind men that we are the guards asleep at the gates. Preoccupied or just too damn tired to watch much less defend the doors. What applies for families often applies for our communities.
Women need to feel loved. Men need to feel respected. That is why respect for men in this country has been made a joke. We as men have been demoralized over many decades. Celebrated so as to keep us pacified but celebrated how? As clumsy, dim witted, morons often getting tangled in the drapes. Those of us who still retain backbones are stereotyped as racist, or sexist, or some other name meant to polarize us. In an attempt to make it okay for the sheep to dismiss us without any debate on the issues or facts at hand. We have made mistakes, but we are overcorrecting.
It is time to stand up men, and I am going to start laying out how. We need to mind our God, mind our family, and mind our country. We don’t all have to devote hours a day to this. There are people out there willing to take the arrows, but they need others to hold them up. Everyone has a part to play. Some will take the doxing and be attacked. Some must stomach the vile enemy, but we must spit out the luke warm and hold patriots up.
Anywhere there is money to be made, there will be corruption and greed. That is just the world we have built for ourselves. The patriot movements of America are no different. Because of this and other reasons, they are rendered ineffective. Destined to never really have any groups that gain traction. Fighting amongst each other for attention and donations. They are never able to silence the noise and focus on the problems facing America. Never able to gain the numbers needed to make a difference. Sadly America’s enemy is America’s government. Yet we fight amongst each other like an elementary school class with no teacher. People follow drama and run to fires with no intention of putting them out. They merely want to gawk and watch the world burn around us. Not only that but they crowd around. Sometimes blocking and impeding the efforts of those trying to fight the fires. Patriots try to build organizations and bridges and that is wonderful. However, we need to quit inviting arsonists into our organizations and onto our bridges. They use what patriots built as chokepoints for an easy place to get attention. Much like a snake oil salesman setting up his soapbox on a crowded bridge. They garner attention, but soon the crowd thins and the bridges burn. Patriots run and scatter, more division follows.
Men have the power to change these things, but they must stand up. Or they must support those true liberty loving patriots willing to stand for the right things. God, family, and country. We must be effective, and we can be. We must find good people and back them.
Where are the men of courage? Where are the good men willing to stand with me in defense of the constitution that we have allowed to be trampled for 100 years.
This is a fight, and men are built to fight. One foot in front of the other, ignore the arrows, dismiss the demons. This is the battle of our lifetime and many do not even know they are in the middle of a war. The federal government has been assaulting the American people for far too long with no real response from the people. It is time.
It is time to pay attention. It is time to stand up or support those who do. It is time to organize and introduce yourself to your neighbors. It is time to work on community. It is community that will heal America, because it is community that built America. Community starts at the dinner table. Get your house in order. One foot in front of the other, you’ll get there. Lean on God and don’t be afraid to ask Him for your every need.
Then get your community in order. Know your local government, you’re sheriff. Know what your schools are teaching. You don’t have to be an expert, just have a general knowledge of the direction things are going and how to change it if need be.
Work with community to cover all the bases. Some can pay extra attention to the schools, some to the city council, some state, and so on. As a community we can guide our governments with elections and pressure. It is our local governments that will clean up our state governments. In turn our state governments will be needed to clean up the federal government. The states truly have the power, yet they act as individual nations in instances when they should be united. States only have to agree on one thing and work collectively to defend it. That one thing is the Constitution. It will take time. One foot in front of the other. As long as we retain our integrity and remain on the right road, we make progress. We expect victory to quickly and because of this we become discouraged too quickly. We forget how long America has been sick, it takes a while for the medicine to work. Just keep taking it. Keep moving forward.
You and I may have different skin color or religion. We may be from different places, we may believe all sort of different things, but we are Americans. We must unite around that or we will be united in slavery. Ignore the wedges, ignore the manufactured groups and the labels they give you. They mean nothing unless we allow it.
The other side of that coin is we need to be able to call out those who are damaging the movements. If not, we will never be able to grow past a certain point. That is where we get lost. In the judging, or our fear of it. We have gotten lost too many times following the wrong people. Yes, I said the wrong people. Who are the wrong people? It is actually very simple even though it assumed to be complicated and difficult to discern someone’s heart.
Look at someone’s body of work, the more recent the more important but all should be considered. As time wanes and good choices pile up those past discretions rightfully become less important. Less important, but still considered.
While we must call out evil, we must commend and support honor and integrity. Those who exemplify that should be ushered into leadership and supported. We must lift up those who have proven to be worthy. Not just because they say they are. Because they have demonstrated it.
This is a war, we need strong leaders, but it is a sad reality of war that some will fall. We will lose some along this weary bloody road we fight every day to walk. I am not only willing to accept that. I am willing to fall so that others may stand upon my shoulders. So they might stand eye to eye with this enemy who has declared war on the American people.
We already have many arrows protruding from our bodies, yet I and many others keep moving forward. One foot in front of the other. We all have a part to play, find yours. Follow and support those good patriots on the front lines and those willing to be. Raise them up or become one of them. We welcome all Americans to stand with us against the tyranny being unleashed on the American people.
This is the last hour. The world is on the brink of World War 3 and America is weak. We are broken into pieces and the Roomba of the new world order is on its way. Easy to vacuum up. We must pull ourselves together. Stich up our tears, and get ready for the fight that has been brought to our doorstep.
We didn’t seek this out, and we don’t want this fight. Yet the time has come to remind the government of America as well as those around the world. We are not willing to kneel to our slave masters and allow our chains to be locked. We will almost surely never be able to free ourselves from them. From then on forced to fight from a place of weakness. Allowing them to quickly snuff out any brushfires of revolution before it can spread.
Are you willing to turn to your child and put those shackles on them? Are you willing to condemn them with your masters? We may not be able to beat those masters now, but we can surely weaken them. At least allow our children the chance to fight off their own chains.
Give them a fighting chance to overcome. The sun has not yet set on the shining city on a hill. It may be dark but it has been dark before. Whether we like it or not we are on a battlefield. Our children stand behind us. Will we step aside or will we step forward?
One foot in front of the other. We got this.
Matthew 5:14-16“You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.
Fantastic read! I Even passed it on to my Retired Military husband who wants to make print outs to pass out in our Military town LOL!
